CORSICA, a preserved PARADISE

Gliding on the water or carried by air, every arrival in Corsica has a contemplative character. We look out over the Mediterranean blue sea, the coves and their heavenly beaches, the mountains and their green scrubland.
This is it!

During the day, you can find peace and quiet in nature, on foot, on horseback, in the maquis, along beaches inaccessible by car or in the Alta Rocca, the Corsican mountains. Get inspired not only by nature, but also by the local culture, its history, art, customs and gastronomy.

Southern Corsica offers a wealth of experiences to discover. We’d like to recommend just a few of them. Our concierge service will also be able to cater for your most unusual wishes.

The PARADISIACAL beaches

Santa Giulia

The most beautiful bay in Corsica is within walking distance of Domaine Santa Giulia Palace. On the beach at Santa Giulia, admire the granite rocks set in the sea, the crystal-clear water and the mountains to the side.

Palombaggia

Palombaggia is just a short drive away, with its fine sand and parasol pines.

Rondinara

Set in a small cove, La Rondinara stands out for its shell-like shape. Renowned for the clarity of its water and its incomparable colour, La Rondinara beach was voted Europe’s 3rd most beautiful beach a few years ago.

Porto Novo

Porto Novo beach has to be earned. It can only be reached by boat or by a 40-minute walk. Naturally, when you arrive on the beach, you feel all alone in the world. A small, even more deserted beach can be reached by continuing to the right for another 15-minute walk.

Le petit Sperone

Bonifacio’s famous beach with ultra-fine white sand and crystal-clear water, Le Petit Sperone is accessible on foot from Piantarella beach and offers a magnificent setting between the rocks, opposite the island of Piana.

Îles Lavezzi

Located off Bonifacio, the Lavezzi Islands are home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica. Wild and isolated. This archipelago, home to a unique biodiversity, is also defined by its fragile balance. They are located in a nature reserve, a paradise for birds and fish!

The towns RICH IN HISTORY

Bonifacio

Just 25 minutes from Porto-Vecchio, marvel at the “city of cliffs”. Bonifacio seems to rest on the sea and, at over 60 metres above sea level, its citadel is full of small shops and boutiques selling typical Corsican products. Lose yourself in its streets and admire the beauty of the site and the views it offers. Below, the port of Bonifacio is also a very popular place to take a stroll. Classified site.

Porto-Vecchio

The town of Porto-Vecchio is world-famous for its wonderful beaches close to the town centre. Nature, clear waters and pine forests by the beach are all part of the South Corsican landscape. In the village, the citadel is well worth a visit, with its cobbled streets lined with small shops. Below you can see the port, where a stroll is a pleasant ritual at the end of the day.

Quenza et le Cuscionu

Situated in the Corsican Regional Nature Park, in the heart of the Alta Rocca and at an altitude of 800 metres, the small village of Quenza invites you to discover Corsican traditions and culture. Quenza is renowned for its charcuterie, chestnut honey and arbouse brandy. At the entrance to the village, the Château de Quenza, inspired by the majestic Medici castle in Florence, stands with an uninterrupted view of the Aiguilles de Bavella. Extend this escapade to the Cuscionu plateau, marvellously unspoilt and wild territories with free-roaming goats, pigs and horses, inviting you to take a deep breath of fresh air, the ideal refuge in hot weather on the coast.

The Scrubland, OUT AND ABOUT

A thousand ways to discover the wild beauty of the Corsican maquis. On horseback, by bike, on foot, on a jog or at night, from where you can observe the stars, everyone discovers in their own way the sumptuous landscapes between sea and mountain, a musical orchestra perfectly conducted by the surrounding wild species, a delicate flora with enchanting colours and fragrances.

The Domaine Santa Giulia Palace, in collaboration with the botanist Stéphane Rogliano, has opened up paths in its private 10-hectare maquis to offer you an exclusive immersion where nature and art mingle.
